A stained glass window was dedicated to Lieutenant Ernest Conway Lansdale by his loving parents in The Parish Church of St John the Evangelist, Goole, Yorkshire, England, where he was born. Very unusually,a photograph of Ernest Lansdale's face was allowed to be used in the window and he is portrayed wearing his RFC uniform, with the RFC insignia and aeroplane above his head and an angel flying over the battlefield with 5 symbolic white crosses.
Lt Ernest Conway Lansdale 30/09/1916 aged 21
For his surviving nieces Mrs Elizabeth Thonger (nee Lansdale) and Mrs Marigold Abrahamson (nee Lansdale) and all other great nephews, great nieces and their children.
