Pte Jonah Davies 15/08/1944 aged 32 Jonah was the son of Thomas John and Jane Davies of Ironstone Road, Chase Terrace. Prior to enlisting in the Army Jonah was employed by the Midland Counties Diary, Birmingham. He was a member of the Chase Terrace Scouts and of the Chasetown Division of the St. John Ambulance Brigade. Enlisting in 1940, Jonah was killed during the crossing of the Noireau. for Graeme Clarke and the people of Walsall |
