Pte Albert Ernest Leslie Jewell MM 15/04/1918 aged 30
Son of Albert Jewell, Albert was born in warracknabeal, Victoria.
Single man, he enlisted on 22/02/1916 in Hamilton, Victoria.
He was awarded the Military Medal on 12/12/1917 for an action on 04/10/1917 where he was wounded by a gun shot to his right thigh, he was gazetted on 02/05/1918.
Albert was wounded in action receiving a gun shot to the head and died the same day.
