On 30/06/1940 Bomber Bristol Blenheim, 107th Sqdn RAF crashed in Ecques at "La Sabloniere".
Pilot H. Pilling and W.Op./Air Gnr. Denison were killed.
Observer Francis Roched survived, was PoW and died in 2001. According to his will, his ashes were scattered here.
