Pte Charles Northfield 09/11/1916 aged 35 Charles was born in Mountsorrel, Loughborough, Leicestershire to George and Harriett Northfield of Wood’s Yard, Main Street, Mountsorrel and later of Daw End Lane, Rushall. A single man, Charles was working in the Manchester area at the outbreak of war and enlisted in the Army in 03/1916. He had served for 4 months at the front at the time of his death whilst his bn was in the Hebuterne area. for Graeme Clarke and the people of Rushall |
