Pte William John Williams 08/08/1918 aged 30
He enlisted in the 157th (Simcoe Foresters) Bn, 02/02/1916.
He was single, former a woodworker, living in Orillia.
Born in Simcoe County, in 1889, a son of Joseph Williams & Ruth Ann Doherty, who were living in Rama (Longford Mills).
William arrived in England, 28/10/1916, and joined the 116th Bn, 20/03/1917. He was KiA in the attack on Hamon Wood.

Pte Benjamin Thomas Cole 03/02/1885 - 08/08/1918
He was born in South Shields, Durham, (Eng) and resided in Orillia, Ontario (Can) with his wife Edith Cole.
He enlisted in Orilla on 04/01/1916
for his great nephew Trevor Neal (Sydney, Aus)
Sjt Robert Corrigan 10/08/1918 aged 39
Robert was born on 29/06/1879 at Newtate, Florencecourt.
His parents were James and Susan (née Elliott) Corrigan, who married in 1861.
He had three older brothers, David, Thomas and John, and two older sisters,Margaret Jane and Eleanor.
He also had a younger brother, Irvine. Robert'sfather was a farmer; he died in 1919.
His mother died in 1927.
In 1901, Robert was living at 194c Main Street, Glasgow, and was an engineer machinist.
He emigrated to Canada on 12/03/1902 and lived in Toronto where he workedas an engineer in Toronto City Hall.
In 1908, he married Isabella Mary Munro, who came from Scotland but lived in Ontario.
Their son, Alexander, was born in 1910 and a daughter, Ruth Isabel, was born in 1912.
Robert's wife died in thesame year.
On 15/09/1914, Robert married Melissa Alice Shand from Ontario and their son, Robert Douglas, was born on 17/02/1917.
They lived at 11 Atkin Avenue, Toronto.
Robert enlisted in the 208th Battalion, Irish Canadians on 07/04/1916.
The battalion had been formed on 15/10/1915, through the efforts of the Irish Rifle Club and was originally designated 110th Irish Regiment.
Robert soon became transport sergeant.
After arriving in England with the 208th Battalion, Robert reverted to the rank of private and transferred to the 58th Battalion.
He was a first class shot in the Irish Rifle Club and he took a special course in musketry.
On August 1918, a massive surprise assault was launched by the Canadians.
They attacked along a 10-mile front south of Amiens, using 2,000 pieces ofartillery and 420 tanks.
The infantry swept through and by the end of the day, 8 miles had been gained.
The Battalion was in the vicinity of Le Quesnel, about 12 miles south-east of Amiens.
During the assault, Robert was severely woundedby shrapnel in the body and lungs.
He later died from his wounds.
After his death, Robert's family moved to Wroxeter, Ontario.
He is also commemorated in Toronto’s Old City Hall.
Robert's younger brother, Irvine, was Private 41160 in the Royal scots (Lothian)Regiment, he was killed in action on 23/04/1917, he has no known grave and is commemorated on the Arras Memorial.
Robert's son, Alexander, was a corporal in World war Two.
