27 He broke his leg and was wounded on 25/03/1918 during an attack east of Curchy. He was left behind when the battalion were forced to retire and was taken prisoner by the Germans. He died of his wounds at the prisoner of war hospital at La Capelle. for David Folwell (Nortampton UK) |
