F/Lt John Patrick Trench DSO
02/12/1918 - 08/03/1943 Son of D. P. Trench Esq., he was born in Burma. He was educated in Gresham's School, Norfolk, (1932-1937) and University: Emmanuel College, Cambridge, England.B.A.(1941) RAFVR 1939-1943, John was commissioned Pilot in May 1941. In 1984, he was awarded posthumously the Polish Order of Virtuti Militari (Cross of Swords, with Merit) by the Polish government. |

Sgt Eric Thomas Beney 18/12/1913 -
08/03/1943 He was born in Lewes. Second son of John Beney and Mary Louise Charlotte Rich (late Beney, formerly Lawrance). His father, Pte John Beney served with the Worcestershire Rgt during WWI, died on 23/06/1919 and is buried in Kirkee New Cemetery, India. for his step-brother Frederick Rich (from Crowborough, East Sussex) and for his niece Hilary and Terry Manning - Donaldson |

08/03/1943 aged 24 He was the son of Leonard and Alfreda Florence Selman, and had been married for only 6 months to Betty Selman, of Ferndown, Dorsetshire. His widow had one son, David (1943-1979). Crofton was educated at Taunton, (1930-1937) and is on the School's WW2 Memorial. for Evelyn Empson |
