Pte William George Fletcher 1898 - 26/11/1917 Because of his sight problems, William was put on stretcher-bearing duties. He was helping an injured soldier when he was blown up by a shell. He was given a proper burial by the British Forces but later a German counter-attack resulted in the grave being blown up. for Julia and Ben Fisher
