Pte James Edwin Waters 16/11/1915 aged
23 James was the son of Thomas and Clarissa Emily Waters of 90 and later of 69, Stowe Street, Lichfield, his father being a plumber by trade. A painter for a firm in Derby contracted to Swinfen Hall, he enlisted in the Army at Lichfield at the outbreak of war and was drafted to France on Friday 05/03/1915. James was operated on for appendicitis and was making good progress however peritonitis and pleurisy supervened causing his death. for Graeme Clarke and the people of Lichfield |
