Rfm Lewis Taggart 04/04/1917 aged 26
Lewis was born 1891 in Thornaby on Tees, Yorkshire, son of Joseph and Mary Taggart.
For his great great nephew Craig Taggart
L/Sjt Ernest Tapper 25/06/1917
Ernest was single man who lived with his parents, Frederick and Amy Christiana Tapper, at 31, Pool Street, Walsall.
During the night of Friday 22/06/1917 his bn relieved the 2/5th Bn, North Staffordshire Rgt in the line near Beaucamp.
The Germans continually shelled the lines and Ernest was killed by one such barrage.

Gnr Thomas Reginald France 10/03/1918 aged 22
Thomas was a single man residing with his parents, Thomas Henry and Emily France, at 40, Sun Street, Palfrey.
Drafted to France on Monday 22/05/1916, he was killed in action near Metz.

Pte Francis Henry Wilkins 01/07/1917
Francis was a single man who lived with his parents, Henry and Clara Wilkins, at 60, Rutter Street, Walsall.
He was killed while serving near Metz when he took part in a night patrol against the enemy trenches.

Pte Arthur William Elson 03/02/1918
Arthur was born in Hilton, Staffordshire, the son of William Samuel and Emily Elson of Shenstone and later of Hilton.
He enlisted in the Army at Lichfield and was killed while his bn were in the trenches at Havrincourt Wood in the La Vacqueriere sector.
On the day of Arthur’s death the bn took artillery fire for most of the day being relieved at 6.15pm by the 13th Bn, Essex Regiment.

Pte Arthur Leonard Morris 16/02/1918 aged 33
Arthur served in the military under the name of Leonard Morris, this being the name shown on the roll of honour.
He was a married man residing at 71, Park Road, Bloxwich.
Arthur enlisted in the Army at Walsall in 08/1917 and was drafted to France in 12/1917.
He was killed serving in the La Vacquerie sector south of Bapaume.
