Sjt Archie Faulder 25/10/1918 aged 20
Archie signed up for Army giving a false date of birth but the Army found out he was only sixteen and sent him home, he returned to the Army as soon as he was old enough.He had also had three Brothers who also served in World War 1 and two younger brothers who served in World War Two.

Sjt David Scott 14/02/1899 - 21/10/1918
He was born in South Shields in the then county of Durham- England.
He was (at the time) the youngest of 4 brothers and 1 sister (2 of his older brothers also served with the DLI in WW1)
Here David is seated with elder brother William standing.
for Jim Butler
David's elder brothers, William (left) and Thomas (right) also served in the Durham Light Infantry and both survived the war.
A cousin of theirs, Pte arthur Jackson KiA 12/10/1916 is buried in Bancourt British Cemetery.
