Frank was born in Heaton, Northumberland and enlisted in London.
Right, Frank's 14/15 Star.

George was the son of George Henry and Jane Prout, husband of Ellen McGrath (formerly Prout) of Belvelly Cobb Queenstown Co Cork Ireland.

Pte William Alston 03/07/1916 aged 37

Pte Adam Burrell 01/07/1916 aged 20
He was born in Channelkirk Lauder Scotland, he was a son of Adam and Agnes Burrell who were Tennant farmers.
The war broke out and Adam joined the Gordon Highlanders in 1914 aged 18, service number 8112.
Adam was sent to France in late 02/1915, on 10/03/1915, his Company ( D Coy Gordon Highlanders) took part in the battle of Neuve Chapelle.
On the 13/03/1915, he was hospitalized with Debility (shell-shock) and on the 22/03/1915 he was sent back to the UK.
Once he recovered he joined the machine Gun Corp he was returned to France in early 1916, on the 01/07/1916 he was in the trenches near Ovillers where he took part in the battle of the Somme.
He was killed on the first of the battle.
